As a part of our Christmas Around the World Global Project, we had a skype session with another 2nd Grade Class in Fort Worth, Texas and in Haines, Alaska. We learned that in Alaska they eat moose, goose and even bear for Christmas dinner! They have lots of snow there too! We shared what we do here in Independence, Ohio and located where both schools are in the United States. It was exciting to see what other students just like us do at this time of year!

We used our iPad today to Skype with Davyhulme Primary in Manchester, England. Our 2nd Graders shared some of their traditions with them. We asked the students in England questions about their holiday and they asked us many questions too. They loved our Character Counts shirts! They eat plum pudding and mincemeat pies for Christmas. It was fun learning about Christmas in England! Link to Christmas Around the World |
